Jada Pollock, talent manager and mother to Wizkid’s children, recently opened up about the challenges of being labeled a “baby mama.” In an interview with BET UK, Jada shared her frustration about being defined solely by her relationship with Wizkid, rather than being recognized for her own accomplishments and professional contributions.
She recalled a moment when, after Wizkid’s Grammy win, she released a statement celebrating the global rise of Afrobeat. However, instead of focusing on her message, blogs referred to her as “Wizkid’s baby mama,” a label that overshadowed her efforts as an entrepreneur and manager.
Jada emphasized that her identity goes beyond motherhood, stating, “I’m not only a mother, but also a manager. I’ve helped build a legacy.” She expressed that the narrative often fails to acknowledge her role as a hardworking businesswoman dedicated to her career.
Wizkid and Jada, who began their relationship in 2014, have two children together: their first son, Zion, born in 2017, and their second son, AJ, born in 2022.
